The viable candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing
Engineering or related field and at minimum 2 years experience in a high
technology, manufacturing environment and a working knowledge of
machining and assembly operations. Must have strong continuous
improvement and leadership competencies to drive safety, delivery, scrap
and cost improvements within the Business Unit. You must possess project
management skills, the ability to plan and organize multiple priorities,
and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Must be
computer literate and be proficient with CAD applications, word
processing and spreadsheet software. Familiarity with ERP systems
important. Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) highly desired!
Responsibilities:
- Confers with planning and design staff concerning
product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.
- Confers with management, engineering and other
staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules,
and other considerations to facilitate production processes.
- Performs research, design and development of
manufacturing processes including production flow, assembly methods
(work instructions) and production equipment.
- Designs, develops, tests and/or sources and cost
justifies various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended
manufacturing methods.
- Performs product/process analysis for cost
reduction, quality improvement, recommend and implement standardized
work practices and improved production efficiency.
- Troubleshoots production problems through problem
analysis and recommends problem resolutions.
- Creates manufacturing instruction sheets.
- Research and provide justification for new and/or
replacement equipment to be included in the preparation of Capital
Expenditure Requests.
- Represents manufacturing on cross-functional
teams such as Change Control Board (CCB) and Materials Review Board
(MRB).
Salary: $62-70K+ contingent on experience.

Principle

Secret, or Top
Secret clearance, with SCI is preferred.
